Rise of the Robots, Rise of the Useless Class

What does the future look like amongst a rising robot population?

Most jobs that exist today might disappear to automation within decades, raising concerns about mass human un-employability, the need for universal basic income, and purposeful activities to occupy the so-called 'useless' class. But is there any truth to these concerns and how should society respond?

Professor Michael Milford (QUT) is joined by panelists Jon Carroll (Sphero), Andra Keay (Silicon Valley Robotics), and Tom Bijesse (Code Club Australia), as they explore how education and vocational sectors can prepare society for a rising robot population.
