CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS WILL IMPACT ACCESS TO QUT CAMPUS PARKING FOR ROBOTRONICA

The Queen's Wharf construction will affect traffic and access to the CBD on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 August. The work will occur on Margaret Street, between George and William streets requiring the closure of the Margaret Street off-ramps from the Riverside Expressway to George Street. Vehicles will instead need to exit at the Elizabeth or Turbot Street off ramp. The Gardens Point campus parking will be accessible however access to Queens Wharf Road and Gardens Point Road will be under traffic control. View Queens Wharf map for details.

ON FOOT

There is pedestrian access from the city centre via George Street (approximately 10-minute walk), or from Southbank Parklands via the Goodwill Bridge (approximately 20-minute walk).

PARKING

QUT's Gardens Point campus is located at the end of George Street, next to the City Botanic Gardens, and only a 10 minute walk from the city centre.

There are three pay-on-exit parking stations – one in the Science and Engineering Centre (P Block), one in SZC Block and one under the Riverside Expressway.

As with most public CBD car parks, demand is extremely high.

For Robotronica visitors on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 August, the parking fee is $10.00 per entry.

A taxi drop-off zone is located off Alice Street, outside Parliament House.
